There's a 69 C10 six lug with a manual transmission for sell for $500 out here. Could I pull the parts off that and use it?

You may have to move the engine back, but your parts truck should have all the right parts as long as it's a V8. You will have to transfer all the clutch linkage to the C20. The headers may or may not work with a manual, I'm thinking probably not but not sure. The steering column is different, don't think this is a deal breaker. I'm sure there is more than I can think of right now. A parts truck for this endeavor is the way to go. Plus, you get spare other stuff. |
