New '89 c1500 Cheyenne owner

Greetings all,

I recently inherited my Great Uncle's 1989 pickup. It was supposedly not running when I got it and I changed the plugs and air filter, squirted Marvel Mystery Oil into the cylinders and let it sit for a day, reconnected everything and with the help of a friend squirted fuel into the TBI until it cranked up on it's own and ran it for about 60 seconds (didn't want to do too much damage, the oil was pretty thin)

My next steps are going to be changing the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and I am thinking about pulling the oil drain pain and rocker arm covers and cleaning them really well in a parts washer.

I am excited about this project, and I have unlimited access to three similar trucks that are going to be scrapped in about a month, the owner told me "Take anything you want off of them and I will let you have it"

So, my questions are:

What should I try to get off of the old vehicles?

What sort of advice does anyone have about this truck? I am interested in learning everything I can about it.

I have found Unit Repair and Service manuals in PDF format for some GM and Chevy trucks on this site, but I have yet to find the specific manuals for my truck, does anyone know where I can get them?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to being a part of this forum!

Took a couple of photos, it's night time here though, I'll try to get some better ones as I can.
