I have a pitted bracket for the plastic style bottle not the glass style.

that plastic cap on the bottom of the wheel. is it needed to mount the wheel to a 67 column?

I think you are talking about the turn signal canceler and I'm not sure if the plastic one will work but there are other styles readily available. I used an original 56 Chevy part on an aftermarket wheel and it works great. It was just what I had laying around.
