Cool New guy from PA with a '58

Hey guys and gals! I figured I had better introduce myself. My name is Lon and I'm from south central PA. I have a '58 Apache that has been back-burnered for a while (moved and had 2 great little boys). The oldest is 3 and will not relent on having a ride in the Apache. So I gotta dig it out and clean it off. I have lurked here for years and gotten many good ideas from you. I'll try to post a pic for everyone.

Well I have to figure out how to resize a pic from Photobucket to upload it. A project for later today.

Welcome Lon, just post your photobucket pics using the DIRECT link and the photo icon above your reply window.

My daughter also loves riding in my truck... kids and trucks, fun!

Re: New guy from PA with a '58

Thanks guys!

58CameoAZ- The paint is suppose to a '91 Chevy Beretta competition yellow. And it's funny you should ask. If you look closely at the pic, you can see a hole in the rear fender. It had a large wrap-around rear bumper that bolted to the fenders. I had the holes filled and a large scratch fixed on the door. We used the competition yellow paint and it did not match (not real far off). So I took the truck to the local paint supply house and had it scanned. Attempt 2 was worse than 1 and that's when I back burnered it. Previous to this work I had spent about 100 hours disassembling, wet sanding and buffing it. It shines like my wife's smile.

And Ogre, I plan on giving mine a stance like yours soon.

Love that color - I had a '55 Chevy shortbed that color back in the late 80s.
