Re: Bertha
So I have a little progress to report. I took apart the 04 fuel lines and started mock up. I mounted the front section to the engine/tranny.
From there it'll have a short piece of flex, and then hardline down the frame. I think thats how the factory did it. I've also been working on the motor mounts. I set the engine and tranny in so I don't have to move the tranny crossmember, or modify the driveline. Originally I swapped the BB towers from side to side and moved them back about 1 1/2". The position was good, but the angle on them was wrong. I tried leaving them on their original side, but the leg is off the back of the crossmember. So, I cut them in half, and just swapped the down leg from side to side. I still need to clean them up, paint them and drill lower holes. And, whats this? Its not on any of my other trucks, and I need to mount my clutch master there. |

Re: Bertha
The three spring looking things are resistors from an old trailer brake set up.

Re: Bertha
Thanks. I figured it was a resistor, but I wasn't sure what for.

Re: Bertha
I keep forgetting to take pics, but she's getting close.
-Motor and tranny are in for good -The fuel system is done except for a new factory sending unit for the gas guage -I reworked the harness, and its installed except for the PCM mount and I need to hook it into the stock wiring but I gotta put the nose back on first -I modified the steering column to delete the auto shifter -New pressure plate and clutch is all in and working I'll try to get some pics soon. |
