1967 Suburban factory engine options

Was a 454 an option from the factory? I found what I believe to be a pretty nice 67 and they say it has a factory 454 big block. I haven't been able to find anything that says that was an option.

Thanks

454 Big Block was never an option in 67-72 anything...just the 396 and 402 big blocks were offered in the 67-72 line. 454 did not come in the trucks until 1973.

Re: 1967 Suburban factory engine options

I am probably wrong but I think the 396 engines were not available until 1968 and the 402 was not available until 1970. I do know that no Chevy trucks or suburbans got the 454 until 1973.

I didn't think it was. So the 10/454 badge was added on to make it look original i guess? Thanks for the info.

You are correct. No BB in 67 in trucks.

Finally got one right! Every time I give an answer on a technical question someone usually tells me I am wrong.

That would be the one. I remember seeing it listed a long time ago. They recently listed it for 1k less on craigslist.
