Production Numbers for 1960 to 1966 Chevy Trucks

Does anybody have a source for production numbers for the 1960 to 1966 chevy trucks?

I have a c10 and would like to know how many were made during this 7 year production run...

there have been several threads on this, I'll see if I can find one for you, but in the meantime, chevy/gmc did not keep production numbers prior to...... 65 if I remember right. May have been 64. But either way, prior to that there are no actual numbers, only guess-ta-ments

here a link to some of the numbers. and I was right, it was 65 when they started keeping track of production numbers. Prior to that it is just guess work.

I've always wondered when they talk about "truck" sales what, exactly, that means. What do they consider a "truck" for production purposes? I suppose anything from a Corvan to a C80 and everything inbetween.

I would guess it means every truck that they sold, irregardless of model #. If it was only c10, then the advertising would probably say "c10"s.

I would take issue with the fact that they did not keep track of production numbers. There may not be any records we can find, but somebody, somewhere at GM had production numbers...we just don't know what they are. What a shame...

And...a very interesting discovery...the 1961's shown in that advertisement shows 306,000 units in the bottom corner and then right next to it...it appears to show 365,000 units (I think) for 1962.

Anybody else have anything?

Years ago the magazine Old Cars Weekly printed an article on the production numbers for 1960-1966 Chevrolet trucks . I saved it but like every little thing around here, try and find it. Pretty sure it was all the years as I remember reading very low production numbers on 4x4s. Wish there was a way to look that up.
