Exclamation Getting H4 bulbs to fit in the headlight bucket

I bought H4 lenses from Classic Industries. The rubber ring on the back of the headlight doesn't fit through the smaller hole that the stock headlights fit into.

The question for anyone that is running upgraded lenses or JK headlights...did you have to hog out the headlight bucket to get the headlight to fit?

I didn't. I'm running Hella 7in round H4 glass.

Are you sure the rubber ring on the back doesn't come off to insert the glass into the bulkhead and the bulb into the glass, and then go over all that?

Yeah...I thought of that after I posted the question...I'll try removing the rubber ring tomorrow.

Which headlights do you have. My quad headlights were tighf. Just had to bend the big tabs on the buckets.

I bought some low price H4's from Classic Industries. http://www.classicindustries.com/pro.../cp500127.html

I did What Rich Weyand suggested and they fit.

I also used the relay kit from Classic Industries,

The difference was amazing...very pleased with the results...but then one of the little plastic headlamp adjusting screws broke. lol
