Re: one ton 4X4 death wobble, what have you done to cure it?

I run springless adjustable caps on my truck. works great. if they get a little loose, I can tell when I hit bumps in the road, it feels a little funny in the steering wheel. time to retorque them. only had to do it once so far.

Re: one ton 4X4 death wobble, what have you done to cure it?

Ive had death wobble in two k30's either mt dad or I have had. Both times it was king pins. If you don't mind straying away from stock you can do a spring eliminator kit, otherwise just get either GM replacement parts (depending on if they are available) or a high quality aftermarket rebuild kit and it'll be good to go. I would recommend keeping the big cast caps instead of the stamper metal one some kits come with. The previous owner of my 87 v30 did them and put the stamped one on there and I wish I had the factory one back. My .02
