Low cost, high quality, and custom built will never exist in the same sentence when it comes to hotrod parts. Companies like No Limit are forum vendors here and have IFS kits, but they aren't cheap.

Realistically, the lowest-cost and already engineered solution would be to get a whole front crossmember off a 73-87, and bolt the thing in place. You automatically get disc, the ablility to run power steering, and the coil spring setup. Its also by far the cheapest. Heck, just buy a donor truck, swap the crossmember and steering stuff all at once, and do drop spindles while you're in there, converting to 5lug. Take the rear axle off the truck and use it for the rear.

Re: looking for an IFS

? I don't understand. you already have an independent front suspension. if you want to upgrade relatively inexpensively, do the swap that BR3W suggested and add '71-'72 models to the list of donors (although the later models are preferred)

There's nothing wrong with torsion bars. They sell all parts to rebuild and drop spindles to swap in disks.
