Aftermarket Hoods

I'm gather everything together to ready to have my C20 repainted. I have 2 area's of rust that need attention. And the left door is going to be replaced.
I'm kicking around the idea of a hood change, like a 2 in. cowl induction hood.
I have done some looking around and found a scale of price's from $250-$500.
I'm rounding the numbers. Many different sources but how many are from the same stamping source ? Is there a good,better,best hood ?
Is there a negative I'm unaware about ?
