fan shroud difference

I have been looking for a sbc fan shroud for my 71 and I am wondering if there is a difference from the 67-72 shroud and the 73+ shrouds

Yeah they're different but you can make a 73+ shroud work, kind of, if you have to.
It won't be right though.

Re: fan shroud difference

I just bought a new aluminum radiator and plan on doing the jeep fan mod. What is the difference is it how ut mounts or coverage? I have been able to find a decent priced reproduction of the correct one and the factory ones seen to be around $200 which is a little more than I want to spend right now

Re: fan shroud difference

Little trimming on the bottom and some fancy bracketry up top. It will fit. I've done it. Better than no shroud, but not really right.

Re: fan shroud difference

I recently bought a new shroud from Brothers, $99.99. Fit as good as the factory, seems the same thickness, and looks almost identical. Very nice reproduction. Lee
