Tech issues

Hey guys,
I have a 1967 C10 and for whatever reason all the gauges stopped working. I have a good connection with the plug that goes into the back. I'm not sure what is happening but it gives me the initiative to finally install the tach out of a C50 I got a little while ago.

I'm not sure of the year of c50 but I think it was a 69, and diesel. Is this simply a plug and go? I've heard and read conflicting stories regarding the years, gas/diesel being interchangeable. Also any ideas what caused the dash to crap out?

Thanks
Mike

Re: Tech issues

Check the fuses?
How about any ground wires that could have come disconnected?

The ground wire for the cluster is located in the main wire loom and is connected as shown in the picture below. Might check it.

Re: Tech issues

Just the lights? The oil pressure gauge is mechanical, so it's going to work pretty much automatically.

If just the illumination, my experience has been the rheostat on the headlight switch is dirty or broken.
