That truly is a beast. Looks like you have to keep it chained to a pole!

Re: 1964 GMC 7000 V12 702ci
I think that truck owns the pole! Fantastic example of a forgotten classic in its original form.
As a CDL driver, I would love to get behind the wheel of a truck like that and put it thru its paces. Thanks for sharing pics of that truck!

Re: 1964 GMC 7000 V12 702ci
I was going to say that the truck could pull that pole down like nothing, but not if it is a High Powered Electric Pole !!

Re: 1964 GMC 7000 V12 702ci
Thanks for all the replies, I will try to post more pictures of it tomorrow. It is a 5x4 transmission. My dad bought it from an area rancher about two years ago. It was last licensed in 1999, they used it to haul hay with. My dad also got another V12 engine with the truck. His original plans were to put a motor in a tractor for pulling, but a local man wants to restore the truck so we think it will be sold and kept in one piece.
The pole chained to the back was part of a Christmas display we did at our antique club. It was a big kids Christmas Tree! William

it's a poor picture, but this is the Christmas display we had featuring the 7000.

Re: 1964 GMC 7000 V12 702ci
Power tower on the auxilliary , so it must have been a mixer at one time . It would turn a lot of heads at a show as is or runnable around the show grounds.

Re: 1964 GMC 7000 V12 702ci
That would be a great one to redo. Looks about unmolested and all there and in not bad shape. It appears to have all matching extra tractions on the rears

Thanks for posting! That aint no 1 1/2 ton. Just look at those 38K tandem dual drive Rockwell rear ends and 10 hole Budd wheels. Must have a GVW is the 50K range.
