Heater Duct Question??
I'm redoing the heater unit with new levers (Thanks Tim Christian) and figured I might as well replace the ductwork to the defrosters as well. I know I can buy the ducts from a vendor, but I'm on a little of a budget right now.
Does any one know what other type hose you can use? Where to get it? I bought some air cleaner intake hose from Pep Boys, but it was 2 3/4" and was too big. It looks like it would be perfect, except I need it in about 2 1/2" and I can't seem to find any. Any suggestions???? Thanks! Shawn

I used flex hose for RV sewer hookups from wally world. It was a little big, but nothing I couldn't fix with some zip ties.

I took a piece of my old hose to Car Quest and they had the perfect size. Had to buy 6 feet, but it was still cheaper. Shawn

...yea parts store...take either an old piece of hose or your defroster duct and they should be able to hook you right up.

O.k., I went to wally world and looked at the RV hose, It's 3", even bigger than what I have right now. Then I went to carquest, they can't find the hose either. I looked at Napa, autozone, and pep boys motormite hoses and nobody has it in 2 1/2". I guess it's a lost cause. I will have to break down and buy the original kind, pay for shipping, and wait for it to come. Thanks for all of the input!!!

jorgensensc, Why would you have to wait to get it? Outback truck parts in located between Spring and Tomball Tx, and specializes in our trucks, per mapquest doesn't appear to be to far from Cypress
