Re: Any market for a 307 with trans?

I am in a similar situation, but its a 350/350. I'm going to rebuild the transmission in school though and will keep the engine if its a 4 bolt main

Re: Any market for a 307 with trans?

A lot of people won't put much effort into the 307 engine but if you find some body that just needs to get some thing running it might be worth a couple hundred or a little more. The transmission you have is a short shaft TH350. If that helps you at all. Jim

Had a 307 in the first c-10 I owned.
I'm sure u could get 500 for the pair. Likely more if you installed it for someone in need.

Re: Any market for a 307 with trans?

Heck yes they are desired. Some people want big power and some people want a longer lasting engine that gets the best mileage. The 307 is a very durable engine and they are good on gas. Sure whatever you do to a 307 for more power you can do to a 350 and have more power. But, I built one mildly that ran as good as most 350 trucks around and got mileage in the low teens. This was a K/20 4spd 4.57s 14.50/37-16.5 tires that always hauled weight.
I've pulled many apart to find barely detectable ridge in cylinders and a crank you'd swear didn't need turned. They are gentle on themselves. I figure a few hundred dollars

Might be able to get $500 for the combo. Just something somebody could drop in and drive.
