Power brake booster 3 3/4" mounting

I have a 1964 c 10 with a power brake set up with an 11" booster I need to replace the booster. Trouble is all I can find have 3 1/2" center to center spacing to bolt to the firewall bracket. My booster has 3 3/4" center to center bolts. Is this a real old booster?

Is there any place I can find a booster that has 3 3/4" spacing? Thanks

Re: Power brake booster 3 3/4" mounting

Is that an original brake booster? Yes a 3-3/4" center to center is a bit of an oddball. Are the mounting brackets such that the holes could be elongated to accommodate a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" booster? My booster brackets are designed to use the very common 3-3/8" x 3-1/2" booster mounting studs.

My Son checked & said the mounting bolts center to center are 3 5/8". Also the firewall plate is 5" from firewall to where the booster bolts, booster has Delco Moraine on it no other numbers.

That is a '67-'72 booster and mounting bracket. The '67-'70 boosters have a 3-3/8" x 3-1/2" center to center mounting stud pattern. The '71-'72's have a 3-1/2 " x 3-1/2" pattern.

I checked it again and the mounting studs are center to center the top ones are 3 1/2 "inch, the side ones are 3 3/8 inch. The firewall mount is 5 inches long.

Re: Power brake booster 3 3/4" mounting

Then you have a '67-'70 booster. There are also many other boosters that will interchange with that if you need.

DaveC1064, isn't it nice to have access to such knowledge--knowledge that can be counted on? Question asked; question answered; problem solved.

I see you've posted only 5 times since 2008. To me, that represents at most 5 answers you've asked for. I'd say that is a great record, as we continue enjoying our work on these old masterpieces.

Gotta love this place--and thx again, Cap'n!!!
Sam
