Throttle linkeage from firewall to carb

Does anyone know when you can get a replacement rod from the pivot at firewall to the carb? I am running an Endelbrock 1406 on high rise performer manifold. The rod was bent to accommodate an older two barrel setup from previous owner. Straightened it up a bit but am looking for ideas to get one that has not been bent.

I don't know if they are reproduced or not. You might check on the parts for sale board on here and see if anyone has one for sale. You can't post a wanted to buy unless you are a Premium member but if you see one for sale you can buy it.

I have the same problem but I think I am going to just change the accelerator to the cable type from a 71 truck. Might work for you also.

A guest is someone who drops in and reads but cannot post.

A registered member has a name (in pink) and can post.

But a paid subscriber (name in blue) opens up privilages like posting classifeds like "for sale", wants or valuation of items.

Go up to toward the top of this page and you will see a blue menu bar, click on the word "Subscribe" and it will list all of the different types of memberships. A Premium members board name is in Blue instead of Pink.

Re: Throttle linkeage from firewall to carb

take it off.....
tap it straight with a rubber mallet on a piece of 2x4 and get it all cleaned up and happy.
Then build a nice throttle linkage bar for it from 2 Hein joints and a piece of polished aluminum rod from Ace Hardware.
You'll be done in no time for under $10
Have a functional smooth feeling throttle.
