Tie Rods on a 68 with 71-72 conversion
Prior owner did a 71-72 front conversion on my 68. I just did the spindles and that went smoothly, so it seems this information is accurate. I'd like to replce the tie rods, but I am not sure if I get the 70-older or buy the 71-72. I simply don't know how deep the 71-72 conversion is into the suspension.

Re: Tie Rods on a 68 with 71-72 conversion
71-72 spindles require the "two year only" steering parts.
Your outer tie rods will definitely be 71-72. The inners should be also if the previous owner used a 71-72 centerlink. 63-70 tie rods are a 5/8" diameter thread and have a smaller taper. 71-72 tie rods are a 11/16" diameter thread.
