1964 Fawn interior paint code??

Anybody know the PPG paint code for interior fawn metallic? The old code 22151 seem to be obsolete now. I’m not really wanting to go with a Nissan or ford color.

Everything I've found keeps coming up with that 22151

Call your local automotive paint store and see if they have the mix chart for that code on file. If not, they can call the vendor and get it. The only reason why it might be obsolete in the current charts is that it could be an enamel code, and that stuff is really hard to get nowadays. A lot of vendors have dropped a lot of their old enamel codes.

You can always take one of your original factory painted parts, like the ash tray, door panel, or glove box to the paint store and they can match it up.

In the past, some guys used 1990 Honda Laguna Gold base/clear, and had good results.

I went through my notes, and came up with this info:
Med. Fawn 60% gloss DuPont 9171-L, Ditzler DL-22571, Rinshed-Mason 65B84

Dark Fawn Zero Gloss Du Pont 9202-L, Ditzler DIA 22568

Light Fawn? 60% Du Pont 9170-L, Ditzler DL22569

Medium Saddle 60% Du Pont 4626-L, Ditzler DL-22570, Rinshed-Mason 65B83

Dark Saddle Zero Gloss Du Pont 9199-L, Ditzler DIA-13010

The Fawns are same in '64 and '65. The Saddles are from '66.

Hope this helps!

Re: 1964 Fawn interior paint code??

There is a tutorial some place on this site that I can’t find. From my notes interior paint code match is 2003 Nissan sunlit sand, code EVO-29003 sprayed with 50% reducer and 15% hardener. It matched my interior very well.
