Looks like about a 50/50 split. Do what you want, most of us will still drool

I like trim myself, black though not woodgrain. woodgrain wouldn't go with the orange. JMO

I like both the uper and lower trim in trim in Black, woodgrain was possible ok for the period, but looks too outdated

I like them with the trim.
I figure it cost more from the factory cause it was an option so why not.
Heres a rough idea of your truck with black at the bottom

I was going to say to say lower trim, chrome. I also like the idea of the pin strips. I have had a couple of cars pin striped and have always liked it.

WOW!
I hope this thread cleared things up for ya!!
I know I would be confused if this was my thread.
It looks like about 50/50. So most poeple will like the way it looks either way you go.
The most important thing is what you like.
And if your not sure . . . . . You will probably like either way you decide.

I vote for all of the trim. Upper AND Lower! And deluxe side-markers too! These trucks just look a whole lot classier with the moldings. I also prefer the woodgrain. You can probably tell that I like chrome! And all the other brightwork too! But, it really depends on what you want the final "look" to be. Oh yeah, add a set of Cragar s/s wheels and I know there will be some serious drooling!

Just my .02

How 'bout the good old fashion paint stripe on it? You don't see that much anymore and it would look good IMHO.

All a matter of taste as you say. I will definitely re-trim mine when I get to that point. I am going for original appearance, so trim is a must have.

Thanks guys, i really appreciate the opinions and ideas from all of you. I think that i have decided by looking at the pics of it with upper and lower trim, that i want to trim it out. I have thought about it since the day i painted it, that it was almost too much orange, and needed something to break it up.

Thanks to solver and ltitsnw for helping me make up my mind with the photo shop.

Thanks again to everyone, this board is awesome.

Well most say not to trim but....
I am doing my truck back to origional. It had upper and lower trim along with stainless door guards, SS window trim front and back, back cab wrap in SS and I will even put a SS drip rain on her. Maby those crazy SS Window toppers for the roll down windows. Trim 'er up buddy~! This is what mine will look like even the factory wheel covers. Except GMC and 4x4 this is going to lool so SWEET~!
