1972 grill surround and grill on 1970?

Any hidden reason i cant install a 1972 grill and surround on my new? 1970? hardware ect?

Should work fine. Need to put a 72 front bumper with the lights in it as well. The 72 grill doesn't have them.

The center support bracket (or whatever the proper name is) and, I think, latch mechanism are also different.

your right Firstowner69, the center support and hood latch are different

I did the opposite a long time ago. I forget how it worked out with turn signal/running lamp wiring. It either will reach just fine or I had to swap harnesses. Grille surround/center support/latch for sure

Man to bad you aren't closer, I have a 72 I want to turn into a 70
