X Frame Shock Relocation

Hey all,
I went out and bought a 62 C10 after selling my 63. I have never had a x-frame truck and wanted to know what people have done to relocate the rear shocks after dropping it. I remember seeing one member on here; looked like he took a front shock stud and either welded or bolted it in. What I don't understand is how to bolt the shock bolt in if the frame is boxed in that area. If members could post some pics and give some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: X Frame Shock Relocation

This is my '62 with Porterbuilt arms. Lowers are stud welded on box part and frame is a welded stud. Not stock but general idea. If anything you can move the stock mounts forward and reweld. I have the Porterbuilt bar but you can move shock mounts to where my bar mount is. The more vertical the better.

Your truck is the one I had seen in the past and was wondering how you did it. Thank you for your response and ideas. Much appreciated.
