250/6 Banger comes to life.
83 C10 after fighting with that Vari jet secondary not working right. Bought a mono jet $40 rebuilt made an adapter. Had a 68 camero with a 250 same carb ran great. Rebuilt carb swag for the setting to use for the Float and metering Rod. Put it on started right up ran better than the vari jet. But was no power house atributed alot of it to heavier truck tall gears. Thought it had a lean surge. Finaly took it apart set float higher and raised metering rod. Holy smoke what a differance can aculy shift going up hill in to 3rd give it some Gas and Go its up hill from exit 8 to exit 12 were i get off after work could barly maintain 55 ran 75 all the way. but looking at the gas gauge MPG is going to take a hit of corse ran aroumd last night with my foot in it!
