Painting door panels:
What is the best way to paint door panels? Have heard many different ways, want it to come out right and look good. Repainting them the same color and plan on using a rattle can, what product to buy? I bought TSP and Scotch Bright Pads to clean/prep the door panels.

^ Ditto the SEM and making sure the panels are well cleaned/degreased.
I'm pretty sure these panels are made of Polypropylene plastic. That requires SEM #39863 plastic adhesion promoter. |

Re: Painting door panels:
#1 - "Restoring rusty" thread has a pretty well documented process for painting door panels. With pictures.
#2 - take a look at YouTube and you'll see some pretty good videos on it. As soon as this darn weather breaks in the Northeast, I'm going to paint mine. SEM ans Duplicolor Vinyl paint seem to be the weapon of choice. |
