8th gen Suburban Van Conversions

Hi, would love to see or hear about any 8th gen Suburbans that had van conversions installed. I own a 1990 Gran Prix (by Truk-Mate) Suburban 4x4 www.1990suburban.com. Any others out there? How about any Choo Choo Customs, Custom Craft, Geneva, Starcraft, Regency or Trail Wagons? Love to see some pics!!

Re: 8th gen Suburban Van Conversions

Have not seen many in years but i remember growing up in the fort worth area seeing many regency conversion burbs even had a family friend that was a big wig at regency. I know there was a ducks unlimited one for sale on craigslist local to des moines about a year ago and about a month ago I pulled parts off of a custom craft at the bone yard. Another company that made custom suburbans even though ive only ever seen about 2 as they made mostly trucks is Western hauler conversions I believe they are still in business I do remember one burb I've seen that they did was a diesel and converted to dually with an extended fiberglass roof

Choo Choo customs used to do a lot of customs in the southeast. All I remember about their squarebody customs and van conversions was that they'd pull the factory seats and replace them with seats stuffed like a couch and use a lot of real wood trim screwed in here and yon.

Regency and Choo Choo seem to be the more popular conversions out there, I've been searching and searching and only found 5 Choo Choo Customs and 4 Regency. Starcraft did the Ducks Unlimited Package, pretty darn cool and unique, had to be 10k extra.

Geneva put a nice conversion together, similar to the Gran Prix but leather seats, I wish...

Re: 8th gen Suburban Van Conversions

Are these decals on these suburbans or painted designs?

It's cool to see these now that they are dated. I was never into conversion vehicles, since I enjoy doing my own ideas on my vehicles.

Nice, love the Conversions.
I bought a 88 Plainsman conversion, drove it for about ten years.
We camped with them
Had stripped it to rebuild it,found this site (see sig link below)
it got hit while parked and was #3 written off.
I just kept the interior
