58 stepside cab to bed gap measurement
Can someone grab a quick measurement for me? my 58 GMC was a longbed fleetside and I cut the frame down for short-stepside. Getting ready to assemble the new bed and I need to know what the proper gap is between the cab and the bed, lets say below the back window in the center.
Thanks!

Re: 58 stepside cab to bed gap measurement
The back of my cab has stamped ridges in it. If I measure from the ridge I get 1 1/8th inch. If I measure from the exact center of the cab which is between the ridges it is 1 1/2 inches.
