I first saw my blazer when I was 7 and fell in love with it, I'm 19 now. I was told it had been sitting there for about 25 years. It took me 12 years but I finally got it. Keep trying!!!!

I got my SWB from a guy I know from high school. It took twenty years to acquire it and it was no longer in very good shape. But it is now and was worth the wait.
I wrecked my Blazer in 2007 and it is just now almost drivable.

Re: How many Blazer's are going to be (fixed)but still sit there year after year

It took me about a month and 4 different offers before I got mine. That is from someone I knew fairly well.

I got asked many times "what are you going to do with it?". Fix it and drive it. When they finally agreed, one stipulation was to see it moving again. Eff that, I took him for a ride in it.

Re: How many Blazer's are going to be (fixed)but still sit there year after year

I've been slowly working on it over 15 years now. Was my daily driver for 6 years. Then the pa salt started eating it from the inside out so I made it a summer truck and then it sat for 5 years now. I'm finally getting back into a house with a garage again so I will be making it drivable and restoring it more again. The biggest problem is that since I lost my garage my blazer had became my garage since I've had nowhere else to put that stuff.

I've got the opposite problem. I can't convince myself to take it off the road long enough to fix the cosmetic stuff. It REALLY needs rockers... It just keeps on going and is a lot of fun to drive, so I just do weekend upgrades.
