Anyone have a easy way to remove the cluch spring under the dash 81K10.
Tried a hook tool and pulling on it but I can't get enough leverage to move it while trying to lay under the dash at the same time.

Finally got it with a big pair of channel locks but ended up having to pull the gauges to get to it.

FYI if anyone sees this in the future I found out if you unbolt the pedal part of it the remaining top part will pull forward enough to take all the tension off the spring. It then slips right off.

In the past I have used Brake spring pliers. First I disconnect the linkage and drop the pedal to the floor so I don't have to fight trying to stretch that spring more than a about a 1/4 inch.
