Carpet strips

Carpet strips rear one has pitting on both ends and front one has a couple of dents, bowed bad, and the edge is wavy. Dents are hard to see please see pictures and let me know if you need anymore. I think a chrome shop will be able to fix this but of coarse it will be extra money. I WILL GIVE GARY 70 JIMMY A COUPLE OF DAYS FOR FIRST REFUSAL. 120 plus shipping. SOLD

Re: Carpet strips

I guess I have two rears.

I would like them if the other user passes as these were on my WTB list.

Re: Carpet strips

Can you get the angle of the bend on the front carpet strip for me? I have a good rear, and I think I will make a front one. Thanks.

I've seen them with two flats, one of each, and two clamp style...I think if you're Blazer is 70 or earlier, there's a strong possibility it's two flats, if it's a 72 there's a greater possibility that you've got two clamp style...this is only a general observation.

I had a set made by copying one I had on loan from 1Rippen. The hardest part is the tiny back bend...it's a two angle piece. The other hard part is the counter sink for the screws. Hopefully the chrome is bright enough to hide those differences.

I would have preferred to find two good ones to re-finish. A good set is hard to come by.

Thanks for the info. Mine is a 72, and yes it would be two of the clamp style.
