Is it necessary to replace the spindle lock washer on a GM 14 bolt axle? I am referring to the on that has multiple tabs on it that bend down over the lock nut...thanks

This one....some website says it's not re-useable???

I have reused them and only replaced if the tabs were broken off.

I'll reuse them about twice then replace them.

They're pricy tho....about $50 a side from Napa. PN 6301660

I paid $22.00 for my D60 front per side from ORD. they might have them for less.

I reuse them if they are in good shape, I have bought them from my local truck repair shop. Any Dorman dealer should have them just make sure and take your old one in with you.
I prefer to use the later style lock that uses a wire retainer ring and a key.
