Front end noise

i'm having a popping sound when i turn my wheel back and fourth. Drives fine otherwise... It happens when i'm pulling out of a parking space turning sharp. Sound familiar on a 4wd?

Re: Front end noise

Sounds like it could be the CV joint.

Re: Front end noise

It's making the noise in 2wd... Seems more in the steering wheel. Do the steering shafts wear badly . The blazer has a 2 inch kit on it too

Re: Front end noise

Could that be the ball joint? Do you feel it in the floor as well?

Re: Front end noise

Could be a worn drag link end or tie rod end. Could also be the leaf springs moving under the spring plates. Try tightening your front sprint u-bolts to get rid of any slop that may have developed between the springs and spring plates. That has solved noise issues on my truck in the past. Also never hurts to have someone stand outside the truck while you are driving to help isolate the location of the noise. Good luck.
