Th350 slipping in first on take off.

Noticed it was starting to slip from stop and go take offs on the way home from work the other night. I guess and hope its time for a filter and fluid change again, last time i did one was last spring maybe, and thats probably over due...but its been riding and shifting fine until here lately. It seems to do it when I feather the pedal, but when I get up on it it goes on and shifts as normal. This is the stock th350 that came with the 2500, so wear and tear im sure is ready to arise...but hopefully after fluid/filter change that will heal her up some.I dont know dealing with the age, I dont know if I should add maybe a little lucas or trans lube agent to fluid change just yet, but we'll see what happens....any suggestions or advice or tips always appreciated....

Does it slip when you shift it manually? Does it only slip when its cold? It could be a bad seal that's worn or shrinking due to weather. It could also be clutches or a pressure issue. Maybe time for a rebuild.

When shifting it manually it pulls normal, when im at a stop and go point its almost like having a clutch, it stalls a sec before going into gear like from park to first, drive to reverse.

Re: Th350 slipping in first on take off.

Delayed engagement when moving the selector from gear to gear is the first sign of poor pressure which could be caused by a clogged filter. Had a similar issue with Red Ryder when I first got it. Wouldn't even go into reverse at all when cold and paused a few seconds to go into first or shift properly through 2nd or 3rd. New filter and fluid made it all normal again with no issues at all, even at -10 degrees.
