Good Title service

I bought a 68 today, on a bill of sale . Who can recommend a good title service? In AR they still ask for a title no matter how old the truck is and I had prefer not go through the hoops of a bonded title. I have heard some have used a title service and had a title really quick and quite reasonable. Jim

Re: Good Title service

Jim, just take a bill of sale to the Dept. of Revenue on vehicles 25 years and older with the VIN on it and they will sell you title, registration and title.

Re: Good Title service

Larry, I have the TPOC or the 909 number as they sometimes call it to get the "title purpose only"deal on those that I rebuild with salvaged or damaged titles on them for the off chance that I do buy one of those. I will take the BOS to my local DFA since I am not in a hurry for the paperwork on this truck. I will give that a try I have never heard that before ,of course I don't deal much in the older stuff mostly later model. Thanks again, Jim

Re: Good Title service

That's great you got an "in state" reply since this stuff can be completely different state to state. There are these universal nationwide services, but any time you can handle it through local channels beats them IMO. I'm going to be needing a title for a truck and "think" I have a way in state, based on a friend's advice. I hope it works and I'll be biting my nails till I'm looking at the title in my hand

Re: Good Title service

Well I will have the BOS made to my dealership[ used car] That is what I was saying about the TPOC or the 999 number they sometimes call it a the DFA office. It is some thing I pay a fee for every year that saves me a ton of money on the registration on titles and not having to get plates and junk like that since I have D-tags. It is called title purpose only. Meaning I am in there just to get a title for that truck. Well duh people. I had never heard that before but like said I mainly do late model stuff. Jim
