Radiator Covers

I've looked and most threads are somewhat outdated. I'm looking for a radiator cover but not like the $30 pieces everyone sells. I want one that replaces the stock hold downs so I can just delete them. Most use one of the bolt holes and keep the hold down. Anyone know where I can find one or am I just going to have to bend up one myself?

Re: Radiator Covers

Nope, not those. Those are the filler panels. On that truck the hold downs for the radiator are chrome. I'm looking for a rad cover that eliminates those hold downs.

Re: Radiator Covers

And after several searches today I used "chevy truck" instead of "C10" (duh) and found this:

Hey Z10, I like those covers between the grill and core support. Did you make them, or where did you get them if I might ask? Thx in advance.

Talking Re: Radiator Covers

I had this one made. I had it the front to long though and cut it myself. I need to take it back and have him cut it off straight.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

hahaha thats funny there!! cept the last few beers would be pretty warm

i bet a guy could bend a piece of stainless roughly the same shape as a 6 cyl shroud but as wide as a radiator and punch a couple holes to bolt it where the upper rad mounts would normally mount and add a lip to hold the radiator

Re: Radiator Covers

The filler panels and rad cover can be had just about anywhere. Problem is that the fillers don't fit well around the hood latch and the covers don't usually take over the job of the hold downs. The covers are normally anywhere from $20 to $50. The one Iinked to startsa t $100. Oh well. Turns out that dude used to sell them on the forum.

Try sending a pm to screaminchevypickup. He's a supporting vendor and has excellent customer service.

Yes I did a year ago Jan. 2014 had the 6.0/4l80e installed.
Haven't regreted it any. Best thing I ever done to the truck. I've also added new interior out of a 99 Tahoe.
