Cargo Light?

Hey i have a few friends, and myself included who have 85-87 Silverados and they all have the cab mounted exterior cargo light. NOBODY's works?! Ive tried replacing the bulb in mine, and was unsuccessful. I just bought my truck, so im still learning, but is this a common problem for these, or just a coinkydink? If common, what steps can be taken to fix the problem? Thanks Guys, NICK

Not really sure but don't those lights operate off the interior dimmer switch? The one that operates your interior light and the one that you can adjust your dash light intensity by, by the head light switch. Just a guess. Round dial.

another question, my dome light, horn, and "cargo light" dont work, is that one fuse that could be blown? or if it was a fuse would many other interior lights be gone too?(every light in the truck works fine with the exception of the ones i just said) im new at this, bare with me....
Also, there is a yellow wire running into the horn fuse, its that factory?

Thanks, NICK

The cargo light and the dome lights are on the same circuit. I have had some problems with mine and it turned out to be a bad connector. the connector is located on the drivers side in the back.

How is your switch?
