trans lines
Im thinking about soft lines for hooking up my th350 to a champion radiator on my 55.2 gmc. has anybody done this or is it not recommended? What lines and fittings are needed? Any help or photos are appreciated Thanks

I did this on my '54 with a TH350. That last 10' or so on my '46 are also soft. What I do is cut the hard lines, start a double flare on the line which puts a bubble in the line. Also, use rubber hose and hose clamps made for the pressures of the tranny cooler lines. They sell it by the foot at most auto parts stores.

I did it with mine, same combo. I bought lines from summit and had them shortened and had 90% ends put on them. can post photos later, didn't take any when I did it.

When I converted to TH350 in 1985 I ran hydraulic grade rubber lines from the trans barb fittings to a cooler mounted in front of the radiator. They worked fine until I tore the truck down in 2000. Just make sure you use grommets at frame holes and support the hose with Adel clamps or something similar, I used the ones with rubber over metal. Also need to keep away from exhaust.
