AD hood alignment hinge ?
Today I removed the hinges and bracket, I found some putty under the alignment bracket where it bolts through the cowl. Is this correct 'GM Putty' for sealing or something someone has added ?

It seals the cowl holes where the hood hinge bolts go through. It needs to be put back there so you don't get a leak into the cab

Thanks Dave, that's kinda what I figured. Just wanted to be sure. I have a block of GM putty just for such things :)
