Front drum brakes
Help! Has anyone completed a front disc brake conversion and have the original spindle and drum brake assembly left over? If so let me know I'd like to take it off your hands if possible!

Re: Front drum brakes
I probably have some somewhere I'd give you but the shipping to you from me would be cost prohibitive. Jim

Have you tried using greyhound to ship before?

Re: Front drum brakes
It sucks but it is the forum rules. And this isn't the parts board anyway. You can buy a 6 month membership for only $15.

Re: Front drum brakes
I would not want to break any rules here cause I'm all about this place and helping out people here. I figure there might be a few that would agree with that statement. Would that include me trying to gift some parts since I did offer to do so? Jim

Re: Front drum brakes
Forgive me for breaking any rules. There is a bolt that holds the front wheel cylinder and backing plate to the spindle. This bolt also has a peg for the brake hardware (see the pic). All I need are 2 of these, and since it is an obselete part that is not reproduced I thought I'd try and ask here.

Re: Front drum brakes
I think that shipping of the grey dog may have been directed at me. I think they used to have one of those come through here twenty no closer to twenty five years ago. I don't know of one within say 45 to 60 miles from me. In other posts when i joke about being so far out in the sticks that I get Monday Night Football on Thursday afternoon, it is not that far from the truth. Jim
