Re: Red line tyre paint -Use it before?
here is my 2 cents...... If you had a pinstripe white wall on the tire already I think it would work. But if not you would have to have 1) a very smooth sidewall with no letters or tire size molded on. 2) a very good paint brush 3) a steady hand.4) a way to prep the side wall to ensure good adhesion
The tire they are showing in the add looks like a real redline tire not one that was painted on. I think this would be a great item to touch up real redlines. I would pass .... but that's me

Re: Red line tyre paint -Use it before?
Cal Custom made a tire paint stick that was like a wax crayon back in the 60's. I used it on our 57 Chevy tires and they looked realistic for a few months before needing touch up. Sorry too many years ago for pictures.
I'd be very reluctant to buy the item listed, especially for the amount of money they want. If you search Ebay under tire paint pens, or sticks, there are a bunch listed from less than a dollar to as much as $10. If they work as well as the old Cal Custom items, I think they'd be a lot more controllable than a bucket and a brush. I also agree with everything Sal said above, regarding tire design and prep.

Re: Red line tyre paint -Use it before?
Thanks guys.
Mark, it was a pen type applicator I saw on Wheeler Dealers being used in Australia recently that made me ask the question. I will investigate further though.

Re: Red line tyre paint -Use it before?
I agree with Marke. That's a lot of paint for 4 lines. A pen or stick would be the way to go.
