Dealership Step Bumper Question
I'm thinking about reaching out to salvage yards in the town where my truck was originally purchased to look for a rear step bumper with the dealership name stamped into it and I'm wondering if it will have to come off a 67-72 or would a 60-66 or 73-87 fit properly. I'm not sure if the width of the cutout beneath the tailgate would be the same or if the brackets would line up with my 1970 frame.
Anyone know for sure? |

Re: Dealership Step Bumper Question
Stepside or fleet? Stepside would be the same. Pretty sure fleet would as well 67-87 as i have installed receiver hitches i pulled off square bodies onto 67-72 trucks, as well as sway bars, so frame is the same width. I believe pre 67 is as well but cant say for sure as ive never had a 60-66.
Why not hit a yard with your tape measure to get some meeasurements instead of relying on the yard. They are notorious for "yea it will fit". |
