brake booster question
I know that Delco and Bendix master cylinders and boosters are different on 1/2 ton trucks, but is this true on 3/4 trucks ? In particular I have a Delco booster with rod and a master cylinder made by Bendix. They seem to fit together ok, but I'm wondering if I'll have problems with the rod length. Any opinions would be appreciated. If it makes any difference, it's on a K20 with axles off a 78.

hmm well as far as i know the boosters are the same, just depends on what type if master cylinder you have in front of it, I dont think GM would have made two different boosters for different master cylinders. The only difference in boosters I have seen is for different GVWR's

Thanks for the replies. I thought it was only the pushrod that connected to the pedal that was able to be adjusted ??

ON the booster equipped trucks (at least the two 1970 ones I have had) has an adjustable pushrod in the booster. If you remove the master cylinder and pull out the rod, it is a 2 piece rod that is threaded together.
