New Shoes!
I know that stock stance isn't for everyone but I like it on long beds. All new suspension with stock big block height springs. I wanted something other than the Boss 338's. I went with Ridler 645's 275x45x20 all round with 8.5" up front and 10" on back. Back spacing is 5.25. What does everyone think?

Re: New Shoes!
Thanks for the compliments, I kept the rally's just in case I want to go back to them. The picture you posted Sam was before the new suspension so the truck sat a lot lower on the old springs. I'm hoping it will settle some with time. Its always nice to have other members appreciate our trucks!

Re: New Shoes!
I like the stock look myself or the height I should say. That is why they make both chocolate and vanilla ice cream. MMM ice cream.

Re: New Shoes!
Thanks everyone. The dark olive would not have been my first choice but it has grown on me over the years. Ihatericeburners my truck was your color scheme originally. I've got a polaroid picture of the truck from 1971 I need to scan and post to the site. The truck is originally from Texas, seems that a lot of big block olive green trucks were sold there.

Re: New Shoes!
Personally I like the Rally wheels but the other doesn't look bad either. Maybe a bit more tire to fill out the wheel well.

Re: New Shoes!
I think I need to put something heavy in the bed for a few weeks to settle the springs a bit. I let the tire and wheel guy talk me out of going with 55 series tires that would have more side wall and filled the wells better. Its very interesting that most of the board members that are 50+ years old like myself tend to stay with rally's and stock stance and the younger members like the lowered aftermarket wheel better. Just my observation, I could be and most often am wrong:-)

Re: New Shoes!
Man, that truck is beautiful. The Ridlers look perfect on it. I prefer less wheel gap myself with the 20's (obviously). The raked stance works with the rally wheels, perhaps just level out the rear with some drop shackles? I dropped the front on spindle and 1" springs before doing the rear flip and much prefer the visibility now that the rear is lowered. But dude, it's your truck and it is FINE either way.

Re: New Shoes!
Weather a person likes the Rallyes or the Ridlers...
The great thing about "shoes" is they slip on and off so easily. Unlike paint, If the paint color is terrible, you're stuck with it for awhile. A wise man once told me... "Never buy a vehicle because you like the wheels or pass on a good deal because you hate the wheels. Wheels and tires are the easy parts to change"

Re: New Shoes!
I wanted to correct the statement I made on backspacing. The rears are 5.5" and the fronts are 4.75". I just verified that with the shop I bought them from. Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I always like looking at your truck Greg, I'm a Ralley guy but the fancy wheels look good too.
