I need tire ideals
I am getting ready to buy rims and tires any ideals on what size?
My truck is a 70 chevy LWB it is factory height (Might lower rear to level off the truck). The tires I have on it now are 275 60 15. I would like to keep the 15 inch rim but might consider a bigger rim. So let me know what you are running on your truck, photos would help to. Thanks

i'm running 255/60 up front on a 15x8 rim , and 325/50 out back on 15x10. I've had MANY different tire/rim combos on all my trucks, and i like the setup on my 67' the best. heres a pic, not very good, doesn't do the wheels justice, but here ya go.

i lowered it slightly more when i got new wheels. Its about a 4/6 drop. 2 1/2 drop spindals, with the front springs cut about 1/2 coil off or so. It prolly actaully is slightly less than 4 up front after i put on aluminum heads, took out the A/C, ect. In the rear i used car springs out of a monte carlo. this gives it approx 4" of drop. Plus the springs are alot lighter than truck springs, for better weight transfer to the rear. i also used 1 3/4" lowering blocks for approx. a 6" drop in the rear.

I understand the restlessness and need for change, but I have to agree that your red ride looks great in those first photos. You have a copy of the YEAR ONE catalogue? There is a similar SWB red one there with what looks like 17" wheels. SHARP and CLEAN.
