Re: stock gurus' question

Could be, but could have been added, too. I see the mirrors were replaced and don't see holes from originals. Upper only could be ordered, though

Thats what I was concerned about. If ordered w just the upper trim, would that appear on the SPID. And if so, how would it be stated?

My 72 has just the upper body side molding like that. It's listed on the SPID as "B85 BELT MOLDING".

RPO B85 is described in the info kit from the GM Heritage Center as follows:
Quote:
Upper fender, door, cab panel, and pickup box moldings plus bright taillight trim. Not available when body side paint stripes are ordered. Included when Cheyenne Super is ordered.

The B85 Belt Molding was a stand alone option and included only with Cheyenne Super trim. It was a required option on trucks painted in the Deluxe Two-Tone Scheme (plus the lowers). Promo Package Highlanders (YG6-8) were also optioned as part of the bundle with the upper molding only. Not to everyone's taste it is a different look.

This truck appears to be Custom/10 (base trim) and as such it would be listed on the SPID if original to the truck. However the tailgate should also have the upper and lower moldings.

Here's another example of B85 upper belt molding only on my Longhorn.
