Puddle jumper for trail runs

This is in the making for 1 ton running gear and a big block.
So we can do a little trail riding this summer..

Most of the time in the mud is at races in Deerpark, Odessa, Harrington and Sprague.. But this truck was retired for about 3years and we ran this one for 1 yr

Then people started stepping up so Randy the owner of all these rigs and owner of Blackbird's (check Sig) stepped up one more time to this

But the little puddle jumper is coming out of retirement, he wants to play on trails and start going back out to the ORV park. Thats usually where you would find me in my "Got Mud" blazer.
This was playing on Mica Peak.

Its has a wheelbase of 86" and has pulled a 925-930 on a RTI ramp. That was before the different rear shackle setup it now has.. We'll just call it a missing link design for now..

We just pulled it in to the shop this morning to put on the 38's and plop in a 402..Because its been sitting for so long he has pulled parts off of it. So hopefully by spring it'll be up and running..

You'd be surprised to here for all the jumping and crazy mud pits he has been in it has only flipped once.
I'll try to get Randy to find some old photo's..

As for the frame I was told the front half was a '73 not sure what the back was..

I had thought of doing that to one of these trucks almost 5 or 6 years ago. That is so cool...great to see someone that followed thru with it while I was day dreaming.
