highjacker 4in lift

So I had a shop install a 4inch highjacker lift (all spring) no block on my 70 blazer. I drove it and it drove just fine. Dropped it off at the bodyshop and they call me and tell me the driver side rear wheel sits a little more forward than the other side. They told me the spring was flipped and installed wrong. Is this possible? I called the shop that installed it and they said it wouldnt be possible to install backwards because of the size of the bolts. They said the front and rear of the spring use a different sized bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: highjacker 4in lift

Both the front and back spring eyes use the standard 9/16" diameter bolt. So I suppose that it could be possible.

I have a skyjacker soft ride. back springs have a wedge that is against the bottom spring leaf and would rest on your perch. My guess would be they could effect the placement. if placed different

Re: highjacker 4in lift

I put mine in backwards at first and noticed the difference and had to take them out and flip them around. They use a 9/16 bolt at each end as was said. Measure the spring eye to the center pin. The long side goes torward the front if I remember correct and that pushes the axle back s little so
It recenters the axle.

Yes, im sorry its a skyjacker not a highjacker. So both bolts are 9/16 front and back?

Re: highjacker 4in lift

Call their support. I called when I saw the wedge piece and wasn't sure which way it went. 15 minutes had my answer very helpful

Re: highjacker 4in lift

The rear spring hanger and shackle bolts are the same size. So it is possible to reverse the spring. The long end of the spring should be in the front. The degree wedge on the bottom of the spring that sits on the perch should also be small end toward the front to angle the axle up toward the transfer case for better driveshaft angle.
