Update on my milage

OK one little tidbit from the last time I posted about this. My burb was doing well but not as much as now. The difference......fuel! The last time I filled my tank with clear ethanol free 88 octane gasoline. The last 2 weeks I did 85 octane with 12% ethanol. Did not run nearly as smooth and mileage dropped by 9%. But that clear fuel runs 33 cents a gallon higher. But better running is worth it as long as the cost savings in mileage justifies the extra cost and evens out. So....more of the puzzle.

Re: Update on my milage

Yep I agree I ran ethanol free fuel in one tank and got 3.5to 4 mpg better and more power! Don't under stand the hole ethanol bit I have read articles that it takes more energy to produce a gal of ethanol than that gal of ethanol can in return!
