Best place for the 12v keyed power source
I've almost completed reworking my harness using the info from LT1swap.com. Where is the best place to hook up the 12 volt pink wire for the keyed power? I plan on hooking the ground and orange constant power wire straight to the battery. I'm assuming the pink wire would need to tie in to the ignition switch.

I believe mine was hooked into the fuse panel.
The battery distribution (little red box) on the positive cable where I got my constant power

I don't know if it is the best place but the "IGN UNFUSED" connectors on the fuse panel are hot with the key on. Since it is unfused I would use an inline fuse or connect it to your LS fuse panel. I'm not sure about the size fuse to use but I would think maybe 30 amp. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. (I hope) LockDoc

Re: Best place for the 12v keyed power source
Depends on where you mount your LS harness fuse box, but I would use the wire coming off the ignition switch that originally powered up your coil. Most of the circuits in the fuse box will lose power during cranking which will cause issues. If your LS fuse box is under the hood, I would get the original coil wire at the firewall junction block, you will need to change out the wire though as it is a resistor wire. If your LS harness fuse box is in the cab, then just come straight off the back of the ignition switch, it's the same wire, it just goes through the fuse box to the firewall junction block, it does not go through any fuses in the original fuse box.
