3 speed transmission swap will it work
I have an early model 67 c10 with a straight six and a three speed on the column. I found a newer style three speed out of a 70 model that has a V8.
Both trucks are two wheel drive. Does anyone know if this would be an easy swap or if it will swap at all? Any information would be of great help. Thanks so much, Jake |

Check length but IIRC, they are almost identical but the later trans had syncro low. I don't remember what year that started.

Thank you all for your help.
I don’t believe that the bell housing would switch from a V8 to an IL6 and I was unsure if the driveshafts were the same. |

The bell housing, flywheel, clutch and all from an I6 will fit a V8 since 1967. I know because I did it with a 1967 Chevy van. Dropped in a 283 in place of the I6.
